SOUND VIDEO IMAGES OBJECTS
An exhibition of works using video, sound, computer imaging, photography and painting opens Friday, May 4th with a reception for the artists from 5 – 7:30 PM

CHICAGO, IL – April 27, 2001 -- The Donald Young Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of this exhibition of works by eleven artists working in video, sound, computer imaging, photography, installation and painting. Lou Mallozzi will premiere Held, a sound installation for the gallery’s front entrance and Jan Estep will exhibit Hunter Dress, a new project combining aspects from her “Survival Wear” series and photographic images. Video-based installations by Ken Fandell and Lucas Ajemian, a new single-channel collaborative work by Jennifer Reeder and Jon Leone, and a complex installation by Derek Fansler which combines a stage set and an action-based video will be presented along with a “tendency-driven” computer program by Siebren Versteeg and paintings by Gaylen Gerber, Michelle Grabner and Rebecca Morris.

The exhibition will open to the public on Friday, March 4th from 5 to 7:30 PM. The opening is free. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 10-5:30, and Saturdays, 11-5:30. If you would like more information, please contact Maureen Pskowski at 312.455.0100.
